The Center 500 printer can deliver information on a complete history of two temperature channels, complete with graphics, that can be readily reviewed and signed off in situ.
For long term records, the electrostatic printout would need to be photocopied to become permanent, but data- 32000 records – is also logged and can be saved and analysed on a PC via a USB port utilizing intuitive Windows based software.
Input is from J or K thermocouples – measuring ranges from -200 to 1370C with appropriate probes. Measuring interval is adjustable and all configuration can be done through the instrument keypad. There are special function keys to keep operation straightforward for common operations.
The printer can be operated on standard AA batteries with an expected life of up to 100 hours, and this can be extended indefinitely using a mains plug pack that is supplied in the kit.
Thermocouples are very versatile for temperature measurement as they can be constructed from insulated wire, and standard thermocouple connectors, at low cost, and capable of accurate measurements in highly inaccessible places.
ECEFast has a 32gauge [0.3mm conductors] Teflon insulated wire in a twisted pair. This wire can be used to make sensors with tiny thermal mass and very fast response, but can be used from -200 to +200C in dry or wet locations – at least for test or experimental purposes.
Center also manufactures data logging type K thermometers up to 4 channels with K input.
