Deadweight Tester for 'Oxygen Clean' Applications - DH Budenberg

For calibration of pressure gauges and transducers for ‘oxygen clean’ and other critical gas duties, DH-Budenberg can offer specially manufactured models from the 580 range of deadweight testers, for example the 580DXF unit with a range up to 700 bar.

The 580DXF unit uses a totally inert perflouropolyether (PFPE) as the hydraulic media and is complete with a model 38 liquid /liquid interface (oil seal). Water can then be used on the device under test side, as a double safety feature, which also prevents inadvertent loss of the PFPE fluid.

The deadweight tester has a mass adjustment of the piston, to allow for buoyancy correction for the PFPE. The tester, the model 38 seal and all internal parts of the base and piston/cylinder unit are all subjected to stringent examination, including UV fluoroscopy to ensure that all parts are free of any hydrocarbon contamination.

The weights are manufactured from Austenitic non-magnetic 300 series Stainless Steel and are all top loaded to reduce the requirement for an overhung weight carrier assembly. Weights are fully interchangeable with other sets of the same type. No serial number matching is required to the piston cylinder unit.

Weight sets can be supplied in bar, kg /cm2, kPa or PSI as required.

A software package is supplied to provide corrections for local gravity, true piston cylinder diameter and temperature.
 
Each tester is supplied with DH-Budenberg's Calibration certificate Traceable to National standards at the NPL in London, or NATA Certificate on request.
 
Units are manufactured to Standard Gravity: Acc. 9.80665 m/s2
