In 1972, above an old racehorse stable in the inner Sydney city suburb of Annandale, Doric Products opened for business. Originally a tiny brass window fabricator, Doric Products has grown to the largest privately owned hardware manufacturer in Australia. The founding Directors, Ray Long and Roy Alchin, both had extensive experience in the manufacture of steel windows and doors and therefore understood the advantages of a fabricator having a reliable supply of quality components at an economic price. This attitude has remained the basis of Doric Products principles, the value of economy in quality.
Forward thinking, dynamic and flexible management, implementation of the latest technologies in both design and manufacturing enables us to create commercially superior products in parallel with a dramatic reduction in the critical area of time to market.
State of the art, fully computerised design process allows our customers to see photorealistic images of the prototype at a very early stage without causing any delays in development or eventual production. Rapid prototyping in either metal or a polymer completes the equation, allowing for market analysis or even cycle testing and performance evaluation.
