It features high accuracy measurement channels in two ranges in the same load cell. The standard ratio between ranges is 1 to 10, from as low as 0-10N and 0-100N in the FN7110 to 0-2kN and 0-20kN in the FN7236. These load cells can measure tension and compression to within 0.1% of the full scale range, even in the first 10% of that range.
An over-range of 1.2 times the upper limit of the high load range exists, and mechanical stops protect against overloads in the lower range sensing element. Supply voltages of 10-30Vdc can be used, and a 2mV/V full scale output is given. There is a temperature sensitivity shift of only <2.104 in the centre of the -20 to 80ºC range.
The body of the double range load cell is made from either aluminium alloy (AU4G) or stainless steel, depending on the full scale range. A complete turnkey system is also available for the load cell, to amplify the electronic signal and display the data digitally. A turnkey measurement system arrives formatted, calibrated and ready for immediate use.
