Loading areas into trucks and trains produce dust as the product falls into the truck bed or rail car bed. The dust generated can be difficult to treat as it is in a large semi-open area. Dry fog can be applied in a rectangular or circular manifold arrangement to create a wall of fog to envelope the product as it falls downwards.
Windfence panels or flexible curtains can be used to protect the fog from local wind velocity and also to act as an additional barrier to dust. Larger DSN-10 or DSN-12 nozzles are used to give greater projection and volume of fog into the receiving vessel and to treat the dust as it falls.
Utilising the unique blue block solenoid housing design, additional points such as conveyor transfers or surge hoppers can also be treated by a separate circuit from the same control panel. This cuts down on the costs of the system, and cuts down on maintenance requirements as only one filtration system would be needed.
