- Manufactured in both standard sizes and made to order sizes
- Manufactured in three types of paper finishes – Kraft Paper Brown, natural fibre and White Paper
- Manufactured to a moisture resistant finish for products that are stored in cool rooms. (Note: paper has a porous surface, so if wet will absorb water.)
Features and benefits
In conjunction with strapping or stretch film, cornerboard helps create a tight secure cube, to contain your load and prevent pilferage and damage during shipping and handling.
Cornerboard vertically reinforces loads enabling them to be stacked higher.
This enables better utilisation of warehouse space and reduces handling and shipping costs
Cornerboard can absorb impact on all load edges. While vertical corners are most susceptible, top edges can be crushed by strapping or load stacking, and the bottom edges hit by fork lift tines.
Strapping applied at maximum tension improves load stability but potentially crushes the product. Strap Guard (small lengths of cornerboard placed under the strap) spreads the load at each pressure point and reduces indentation.
Long length cornerboard adds reinforcement to unitised product and reduces the damage caused by the flexing of long products.
Forming an unbroken base, solid fibreboard pads protect from nails, wood sliver and dust. By bridging the gaps between deckboards, the load does not sag, eliminating forklift pinch or bag burst. Lightweight pads are also used to 'tier' product and stabilise the pallet.
