Tasman Geotechnics can carry out environmental site assessments of potentially contaminated sites, such as service stations. Such assessments are commonly required where there is a proposed change in use of the site.
The environmental assessments use procedures outlined in the National Environmental Protection Measure (NEPM) brochures and Information Bulletins published by relevant state government bodies.
Our environmental site assessments include:
- Compiling historical information relating to land use
- Scoping and carrying out soil investigations (which may include groundwater assessments)
- Reviewing geological and hydro-geological settings
- Comparing analytical results to Health-based Investigation Levels, or ANZECC guidelines
Tasman Geotechnics can also carry out validation sampling for decommissioning underground storage tanks
