3M Scotch-Weld EPX Structural Adhesive
Oily metal, polypropylene and polyethylene are examples of surfaces which will never be hard to bond again.
If you fabricate or work with plastic or metal, then you need to see the 3M EPX system work for you.
- High shear and peel strength for outstanding bond performance and reliability
- These cutting edge adhesives are superior in every sense to mechanical fasteners — forget drilling holes or welding
- This means productivity and flexibility for your assembly operation
- The 3M EPX applicator triggers a neat bead of adhesive
The unique dispensing nozzle simultaneously meters, mixes and applies the adhesive for consistent results.
As an alternative to mechanical (screws and rivets) or fusion fastening, the reasons for 3M Scotch-Weld Adhesives are many: greater design latitude, cleaner lines, material substition, less machining, lighter weight, more durability, and often lower cost.
To meet application and end-use requirements you can select from one-part heat curing epoxies, to acrylics and urethanes. There are formulations for bonding steel, aluminium, copper, low surface energy plastics, rubber, glass, wood, masonry and more.
Whatever properties you need - durable adhesion, flexibility, creep resistance, heat and environmental resistance, void filling - you'll likely find a 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ adhesive product to meet your requirements and expectations.
3M DP8005 (Translucent) Scotch-Weld Plastic Adhesive
3M Scotch-Weld DP8005 is a two-part structural acrylic-based adhesive that structurally bonds many plastics, including difficult to bond low surface energy materials. 3M DP8005 can bond many grades of polyethylene, polypropylene, and thermoplastic elastomers without surface preparation at room temperature.
3M DP8010 (Translucent) Scotch-Weld Plastic Adhesive
DP8010 DP 8010 Translucent 3M™ DP8010 is a two-part structural acrylic based adhesive that can structurally bond many low surface energy plastics.3M™ DP8010 can bond to many grades of polyproplene and thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) without any surface preparation at room temperature. Product has a 10 minute work-life.
