The “Doubledex” concept has provided the answer to many screening requirements such as increases in tonnage, cleaner product, improved heavy media recovery and improved dewatering.
This development also has the potential to reduce capital requirements on any new screen installation by increasing the available screening area.
Because of the light weight and strength of polyurethane screening, our system allows for a single deck to be equipped with a double deck. Yet it has the advantages of still using a single steel support frame, where the height of the side plates on the screen permit.
Similarly, a double deck vibrating screen can be equipped with a third “Tripledex” or even fourth deck. Yet again, it still needs only two steel support frames if the height of the side plates on the screen permit.
A relatively simple conversion on an existing screen, that will vastly improve capacity and efficiency. “Tripledex” can be used for sizing four different size products (three products with “Doubledex”).
Both systems can be used for scalping operations, to allow the bottom decks to screen more efficiently by reducing the feed load factor and the screen bed depth. “Doubledex” and “Tripledex” systems are in use world wide and have proven to be more efficient in the screening of a finer product than normal single deck screens.
These are just two of the many benefits available with these systems. “Doubledex” and “Tripledex” can be easily adapted from existing Flowmax Screening single deck systems, should the support frame be suitable.
