Change is the only constant. But it can be scary? It can be harder to see the opportunities, and easier to see the risks. And it can be hard to get out of the comfortable status quo to move forward.
"Change" was the word of the day at the inaugural Food & Drink Business Live Industry of the Future Forum in Sydney on 11 August. The first event of its kind, it gathered food and beverage manufacturing professionals to delve into the latest challenges facing the industry.
More importantly, it highlighted the real world solutions being used — to survive and thrive. Nothing was taboo. Some of the themes that continued to surface throughout: were
- Know what you stand for (great talk by Nudie’s Richard Glenn).
- Act fast (by David Beak from Australia's largest fresh soups and ready-meals maker).
- Be epic (captivating presentation by Richard Sauerman, aka "The Brand Guy").
