This instrument is designed to measure oxygen, carbon dioxide and gas mixtures in various food packaging, like sealed pouches, bottles, cans and other packages. It's called the Headspace Gas Analyser GHA-01, and is manufactured by Labthink.
It provides rapid and accurate gas content and proportion evaluation on production lines, in warehouses and in the laboratory, guiding production methods and ensuring the shelf life of products.
Appropriate products for testing include snacks, mild powder packaging, baked products, meats, cheese, coffee, juice and carbonated beverages, medical and pharmaceutical products, as well as MAP packages, active packages and corrosion-proof packages.
The oxygen residual analysis is of great importance to milk powder manufacturers especially, as oxygen speeds up the rate of decomposition and hence reduces shelf life.
The gas analyser is micro-computer controlled, yet highly portable. It has built-in data storage and can be battery powered if no AC power source is available. Functions available include data re-analysis, processing and test report output. Results can be displayed on the unit’s LCD but a RS232 port is available for communication with a PC and more detailed data analyses. There is a network transmission interface for LAN data management and internet data transmission, and a mini-printer prints out test reports upon completion.
