foodpro, the event that serves as a bastion for the food manufacturing and processing industry, is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the largest of the event ever staged.
The event features with over 360 exhibitors across six key precincts: food processing technology, food packaging, plant equipment, ingredients, science & technology and the new Supply Chain Integrity Zone. Taking place over four days, there is no doubt schedules will be filled with plenty of discussion and networking. Alongside checking out exhibitor products, the KUKA Robotics Central Bar, located on level one will be the perfect place to chat with fellow industry professionals.
Industry members from all over the world are gathering at the show, including experts who will be sharing at the seminars on a range of topics that are pertinent to the industry. These include: Mixed reality – the future of decision making in the Food Supply Chain; Intelligent Information Driven Manufacturing: The Path to industry 4.0; Food safety program validation, shelf-life determinations, routine quality control of products; combating the cost of increased entry-level skill requirements in the FMCG sector and a new era in foreign body identification – learn how to protect your brand. The full seminar program can be viewed online.
There are also a number of brand new technologies being showcased at the show, such as MTI Qualos’ new Dynamic Internal Roll Fast Door, Flexco are bringing the brand new Generation 3 Novitool® Aero Splice Press and AKA Cleaning Services’ will be debuting their range of INTELBLAST Dry Ice Blasting Machines.
Along with providing a platform to learn and engage, foodpro’s event organisers are also acutely aware that security in the supply chain is vital to food manufacturing. Unfortunately many small businesses find it costly to comply with traceability and audit compliance as many of the technologies are created for larger manufacturers. To combat this issue, foodpro is partnering with Food Innovation Australia Ltd. (FIAL) to create The Supply Chain Integrity Zone.
The Supply Chain Integrity Zone is a new initiative focusing on solutions available for small manufacturers who produce pre-packaged goods for sale to the consumer. Companies across the various stages of the supply chain will be represented, allowing visitors to discuss end-to-end solutions with suppliers best suited for their business. The zone will also include a series of seminars covering the latest technology, capabilities and insights.
foodpro is also co-locating with AIFST (Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology) Annual Convention. Over 600 delegates are expected to attend the Convention’s 50th year to hear about topics such as the future nutritional needs, technology driving innovation, regulations related to imports as well as a roundtable discussing financing innovation and growth in the food industry.
foodpro 2017 is most certainly the event for those in the food processing industry wanting to find out about the latest global innovations and trends, stay competitive and efficient.
