1. Pre-Assessment Training

  • Preparing operators to maximise their chances in achieving competence.
  • Minimise the need for re-assessment.
  • Familiarisation with National Assessment Instruments.
  • Correct operational techniques for Loadshifting Forklifts (LF) and/or Loadshifting Orderpickers (LO).
  • General requirements, knowledge and skills needed to undertake assessment.

Group Size: Up to 5 operators

Duration: 2 4 hours

2. License Assessments

  • Test operators for LF and LO for the purpose of obtaining their Certificate of Competence.
  • Interim certificate issued on successful completion.
  • Assist with obtaining official license from local Workcover Authority, where relevant.
  • Maximise your operators chances for obtaining competency by selecting Course 1 above - Pre-assessment training.

Group Size: Up to 8 operators

Duration: 2hrs plus

3. Refresher Training

  • Ensure operators hold correct certificate of competence for equipment they are using.
  • For employers who wish to ensure they satisfy OH&S authorities obligations.
  • Ideal for those operators having problems with issues such as:
    • damaging stock
    • accidents
    • not adhering to OH&S regulations
  • Can be used to bring operators up to national standard.

4. Walkie Stacker / Pallet Truck Training

At present there are no requirements to hold a license to operate a pedestrian forklift. It is however, the responsibility of an employer to provide a safe workplace. Pedestrian forklift operators, irrespective of whether they hold a forklift license, are required to be trained in the correct and safe use of this type of equipment. This training covers:

  • Operator responsibilities
  • Operator daily checks
  • Safe operating techniques
  • Battery maintenance

Group Size: Up to 3 operators

5. Tailored Training Packages

Training programs can be created to satisfy the particular needs of any site, especially those that handle unusual or hazardous goods. Linde can also train operators required to use forklift accessories such as:

6. Equipment Familiarisation

Ideal for new employees or at the time of equipment changeover.

This program includes:

  • Operating procedures
  • Operator daily checks
  • Work through operator handbooks
  • Look at the differences between the old and new technologies
  • General maintenance and safety issues
  • Legislation changes
  • Evaluation of operators ability on equipment.

Group Size: up to 5 operators

7. New Equipment Induction

There is no better time to protect your investment in forklifts than immediately upon delivery. Informed and trained operators will better protect your staff, stock and forklifts.

Operators will be inducted on:

  • Operating procedures
  • Operator daily checks
  • The differences between the old and the new forklifts
  • General maintenance and safety issues.

Group Size: up to 10 operators

Duration: 1 2 hrs


Trainers will have a minimum of Workplace Trainer/Assessor Certificate IV. All assessors are certified by WorkCover Authority to assess for National Certificate of Competency for Forklift (LF) and/or Orderpicker (LO).
