When the work is done, the service worker closes the work order and the completed information, including time and materials, is sent wirelessly back to the office automatically.
The electronic information is instantly accessible for processing by your billing system so there's no data entry needed. Because you also no longer have to wait for the field service worker to bring in the paperwork before you can close the work order, customers can be billed quicker.
Payroll is also more efficient with FieldCentrix and JD Edwards. Field service personnel work hours are logged on the mobile device and an electronic time sheet is transmitted to the office along with the completed work order.
The service worker has already viewed and signed his time sheet electronically at the site, so the information is instantly available for processing by the payroll module. There are no paper time sheets to reconcile or cross check.
