The measuring drum parts in Ritter Gas Meters are welded together with exactly the same material as the drum itself. The welds are therefore as corrosion resistant as the drum.
Ritter Gas Meters use a magnetic coupling system to connect the measuring drum to the needle indicator on the Gas Meter dial face. This means that there is no hole in the casing wall for the spindle, completely negating the possibility leaks. The Gas Meter remains gas and liquid tight for its lifetime, many, many years.
All drum-type meters contain a Packing Liquid - usually water, which is suitable for most gases. However we do have alterative packing liquids.
Rixol-111 is a low viscous paraffin oil (without Polyolefin), which can be used for gases, which are highly soluble in or reactive to water.
Autin-B is a paraffin "white" oil, similar to Rixol-111 but with higher viscosity, colourless and odourless.
CalRix Packing Fluid is ideal for use with the most highly aggressive gases and under the most exacting of measurement conditions. It is a synthetic fluid, which is completely inert to almost all gases. A further advantage of CalRix is its extremely low evaporation rate. It rarely has to be topped up even after extensive use, and the gas remains dry.
Electronic data gathering is available together with a dedicated software program.
