The Gates GLX™ coupling is specifically designed for textile-reinforced hoses up to 1,000 psi working pressure. Specifically suitable for Terminator®, LOL Lock-On Hose, Premo Flex®, 6B Dura Master®, Duro Flex®, Adapta Flex™, Tufflex® Plus, 19B Plant Master®, 119B Plant Master® 113S Washdown Hose, Ohmega® (Pot Room) LP350 Propane-Butane, and Cyclone Washdown Industrial hoses, from ¼" to 1¼" ID.
GLX™ couplings are a one piece design with a smooth ID ferrule that won’t cut through the reinforcement. Popular male pipe and female swivel terminations are in stock. The stem OD and the ferrule ID dimensions provide for an optimum hand insertion force.
You can feel the coupling "hit bottom" and it won’t fall off before crimping. GLX™ couplings are finished with the exclusive TuffCoat™ plating providing five times greater rust resistance than standard zinc and cadmium plating that can rust on the inside and outside surfaces, resulting in leaks and contamination. You can be confident this coupling is backed by all the solid design expertise, extensive testing and robust quality that you expect from Gates.
The GLX™ coupling line brings simplicity and efficiency to your assembly operations. One coupling per size fits Air and Multi-Purpose, LP350 and many other Gates hoses. There’s no need to decide which ferrule to use with which hose. This simplifies your assembly procedures, while keeping inventories to a minimum. Following Gates crimp recommendations ensures assemblies with top quality, performance and safety. Crimp recommendations can be found at www.gates.com/ecrimp
GLX™ couplings are crimpable on all Gates standard crimp machines and dies.
WARNING: GLX Couplings are only for use on textile reinforced hoses up to 1000 psi max working pressure.
