About High Speed Fastening

High Speed Fastening commenced operation in January 1995. As the ever increasing need for stud welding in the manufacturing industry of Australia became apparent, High Speed Fastening moved to better service this need. More qualified staff with years of experience in the welding industry (for construction, ship building, mining, oil and gas) joined the company and subsequently moved to a modern office and warehouse, with storage service and workshop facilities in Melbourne.

The major applications for stud welding in Europe are in the manufacture of automobiles, whitegoods and electronics. Hilbig Schweisstechnik GmbH has also developed fastening systems for the ship building industry. This technology is used in cruise ships, tankers, navy vessels and high speed ferries. A labour cost saving of 50% in fixing has been achieved using these system.

The company enjoys steady growth and has contributed to various large projects in Australia and the Pacific region. Our high quality, cost effective stud welding systems which were developed by industry leaders HBS, KOCO, Hilbig, and AVT wear studs, are operating in companies such as:

- Incat Tasmania Asera Brown Bouverie - N.Z.
- ABB Power Transmission - N.Z.
- British Aerospace
- Lockwood Industries
- Tenix Defence Systems (Ship builders of naval frigates)
- DVR Victoria Telecom

Because we recognise our responsibility to the industry of introducing and making available new technology we are constantly adding to our stock range in order to keep Australia competitive with overseas.
