Flexilift Australia has declared it is prepared to step in with a viable solution for the nationwide collection of independent Hyster forklift distributors should they face closures or job losses since Adapt-a-Lift acquired Hyster assets in its deal with NACCO.
Due to Adapt-a-Lift branches being located in most areas where Hyster retail outlets are situated, there is a potential for duplication of retail and personnel presence. Therefore, closures to branches are practically inevitable and repatriation of the Hyster personnel may not be possible in all cases.
But with Flexilift Australia’s recent appointment as exclusive Australian agent of Hyundai forklifts, a nationwide collection of redundant Hyster retail outlets is the perfect infrastructure solution for its own expansion plans.
Business Development Manager for Flexilift Australia, Mr John Fisher, says Flexilift is perfectly poised to be a recession buster in this situation.
“Rather than worry about potential branch closures or job losses, the huge network of Hyster retail outlets is perfectly equipped to distribute, sell and service Hyundai forklifts ," said Mr Fisher.
“Rather than worry about closing down, they simply keep operating business as usual with some simple signage changes and stock a few Hyundai forklifts.
"While one can only speculate at this early point, it is apparent that Adapt-a-Lift branches are located to the greater extent in all parts of Australia where Hyster retail outlets also are situated.
“An Adapt-a-Lift press release already in the public domain states: …. AAL intends to offer employment to as many current NFN/Hyster employees as operationally practicable, suggesting closures and redundancies are not ruled out.
"However, as Flexilift was recently appointed as the exclusive agent for Hyundai forklifts in Australia our massive national expansion plans have been made very clear.
"With the Hyster retail infrastructure already in place, staffed by qualified and proven technical/service and sales staff, all of these branches can become Hyundai distributors very quickly and have an extremely strong global brand at the core.
"There aren't too many feelgood stories during a recession, but this is one instance where Flexilift – a growing and ambitious Australian company - can step in and fill a void to keep hundreds of people in jobs and keep a huge network of retail outlets operating smoothly.”
