Kenro pit lids have substations covered

Supplier: Kenro Metal Services By: Jim Thrush

Leading Queensland metal component manufacturer, Kenro Metal Services have recently completed work on two Powerlink® substations in central Queensland.

Kenro were awarded the contracts to produce and supply pit lids (aka pit covers) over electrical trenches, at Columboola Substation and subsequently at Wandoan.

We did such a first class job with the pit lids at the Columboola switching station, we were later awarded the contract for the larger and more high profile Wandoan project.

As we invariably do, Kenro visited the Columboola site to take measurements onsite and to ensure that all details were correct.

This was very important as the deadlines were very tight and mistakes could have proved costly.

As well as supplying the pit lids, we also provided the support frames, fixings and the all-important earthing strips, always so crucial at a substation.

Despite the tight timeframe, we delivered the pit covers on time and to a very high standard - even the removable checker plate panels were all meticulously finished and galvanised.

As a supplier to the Civil Construction and Infrastructure industry for decades, we have the experience to manufacture and supply innovative products and variations for any project.

Such is our innovation, these pit lids can be produced to any size and can be ingeniously adapted for a wide range of purposes.
