LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim offers an extensive set of application specific solutions which deliver dedicated simulation capabilities to assess the behaviour of specific subsystems. These solutions allow users to focus on their design and engineering issues, without having to invest precious time in creating and validating models. Suppliers can model, simulate and validate components early in the design process and provide their OEM with a virtual functional mock-up of components or subsystem. OEMs in turn are able to simulate the integration of components and sub-systems to verify performance levels and validate key design choices.
The interactive graphical interface enables LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim users to quickly build complex, multi-domain system models. The resulting sketch is easily understandable and offers a logic representation of the system model under investigation. Users create models by using a large library of validated and pre-defined components. In addition to these libraries, they can develop and extend their own libraries by creating new models and sub models.
To facilitate the sharing of models and libraries with suppliers, customers or internal departments, LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim offers the capability to create and publish ready-to-use catalogues of component models, while protecting intellectual property. LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim offers a run-only version of the software, dedicated for users who simply want to run a packaged simulation model to analyse and visualize different design alternatives.
To create the system simulation model in LMS Imagine. Lab AMESim, the user has access to a large set of validated libraries of pre-defined components from different physical domains. The software creates a physics based model of the system, which does not require a full 3D geometry representation. This approach gives LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim the capability to simulate the behaviour of intelligent systems long before detailed CAD geometry becomes available.
