The Lifeguard® team continually develops and innovates new safe, efficient, durable, and reliable products to meet market demand. Previously low voltage industrial lighting has not met portable, lightweight, or rugged criteria. Spinefex had the bright idea to design and manufacture a new product for challenging environments, providing extra-low voltage but high output lighting that’s lightweight and fully portable.
Spinifex manufactured this exciting new product using injection moulded construction, built tough for industrial, construction and marine applications (shipbuilding and maintenance). Modlight is injection moulded in a black enclosure with white LED output and includes a 5m supply cable, though it is customisable to end-user specifications. Classified as a Class III Lighting Chain and built and tested to AS/NZS 60598.2.20, the Modlight is rough service rated and tough. With an IP rating of 66/67, the TPL Modlight is powered by the new Lifeguard® ACS-LV 24v DC socket, which can be connected to any power source or cascaded from another Lifeguard® Power Distribution Board, making the Modlight an efficient, durable, and safe solution.

Spinefex’s Modlight complements the existing Lifeguard® Lighting range becoming an integral part of your complete Lifeguard® power distribution solution. The standard Lifeguard® lighting range consists of lights from fluorescent lighting, chain lighting – up to 200m interconnected, floodlights, emergency lighting and exit lighting. Lifeguard® Distribution Boards come standard with lighting outlets which provide a unique plug and go capability for our lighting systems. The cascade “plug-in” aspects of the Lifeguard® lighting system enables quick and easy installation across large areas and throughout multi-level construction and is designed for indoor and outdoor applications.
