For over 2 decades the partnership between Mitsubishi Motors Australia Ltd and Luna Nameplate Industries has produced some stunning badging solutions for the Magna range of vehicles.
But it was the VIG badging process that offered Mitsubishi the opportunity to locally badge the 2005 Triton range of commercial and lifestyle vehicles.
The total project cost of VIG was one of the key criteria for Mitsubishi when deciding how to identify the Triton range. VIG was able to give Mitsubishi a traditional look chrome badge for their vehicles without the ‘traditional’ costs associated with injection moulded badges.
The short tooling lead times for VIG badging was important for Mitsubishi Engineers also. This gave the Engineering Department more flexibility in meeting tight automotive dead lines.
In addition to the outstanding value of VIG badges, the flexibility in design options available to Mitsubishi’s Styling Department was also central in choosing LNI’s VIG badging process. VIG allowed the Stylists to affordably combine colours on the one badge design, thus lifting the image of the new Triton vehicle range further.
LNI is proud to be a supply partner to Mitsubishi and look forward to continued development of the VIG badging process with our automotive partners.
