Material Handling Conveyors - Air Belt Simveyor
The Simveyor, a development of a patent originally published in 1963, is a system for conveying bulk materials on a horizontal and inclined belt, which is carried on a bed of air.
Simveyor air belt conveyors are in operation throughout Europe and SE Asia. Vigan experience in air belt conveying in this latest technology is unsurpassed and with systems operating globally we can assure you of the most reliable operation. The Simveyor can operate up to 5.0m/sec belt speed with capacities over 5000 t/hr.
Simveyor - The Principle
The conveying belt runs in a perforated membrane trough, which can be metal or plastic, below which is an air chamber. Air at low pressure is blown by centrifugal fans into the chamber and flows through the holes in the trough, thus raising the belt on an air cushion.
The return section of the belt, although not carrying material, can also be supported on a cushion of air, or can be returned on return idlers. The system is totally enclosed in a sheet casing, providing multi feed points for the material, which is to be conveyed.
With our extensive experience of design and manufacture of belt conveyors we can provide the optimum design for your application.
Our service crew can provide installation and commissioning of your air belt conveyor together with complete after sales service and support in all states.
