Material Handling Equipment - Pipe Chain Conveyors
They are dust proof, gas tight, energy saving, easy to install, cost effective, emit little noise and require hardly any maintenance.
Pipe chain conveyors can also be used for functions other than just conveying. These include the sealing against pressure or vacuum in filters, the proportioning of bulk materials and heating/cooling functions. The pipes can be located one above the other, or side by side. Pipe bends can be upwards, downwards, left or right – a characteristic unique to pipe chain conveyors.
IBS Pipe Chain Conveyors can be constructed out of mild steel or stainless steel, generally with a manganese alloy chain. The transportation discs can be made from a variety of materials including Vulkollan, PTFE, or grey cast iron depending on the operating temperature and the material being conveyed.
IBS manufacture a standard range of pipe chain conveyors capacity from 100kg /hr to over 15t/hr depending on material bulk density and nature of material.
Pipe chain conveyors are the perfect and most economical solution to low capacity free flowing applications where long distances up to 30m can be accommodated. For installations over 30m pipe chain conveyors are piggy backed.
IBS can determine if a pipe chain conveyor is suitable for your application, taking into consideration the material characteristics application and environment.
Heating and Cooling Jackets
All IBS Pipe Chain Conveyors can be fitted with heating and cooling jackets utilising steam, thermal liquids, refrigerant, water or brine. Heating or cooling can be designed by our process engineers who will recommend the most suitable size and type of Pipe Chain Conveyor for your production and needs.
