Recent demand in the fields of geo-chemical gas analysis and disaster prediction have increased, so therefore the demand for equipment that can accurately measure the amount of mercury contained in air or gas within a defined period or can monitor the change in the level of mercury content has increased as well.

Price Guide (Inc GST): POA

The AM-4 mercury monitor for gas is designed to utilise mercury's character of a malgamation with gold on contact. The mercury in a sample of gas is collected in the form of gold amalgam. The gold amalgam is first heated so that the mercury can be gasified. The gasified mercury then is introduced to an absorption cell to perform quantification of the mercury by means of the cold vapor atomic absorption analysis method at the wavelength of 253.7nm.

This sophisticated method of the AM-4 mercury monitor is more sensitive and accurate than the above mentioned methods, and allows unmanned operation thanks to a preset intermittent operation program.

The AM-4 mercury monitor for gas can be used to solve mercury related environmental problems such as environmental assessment, pollution source tracing, process and control monitoring and etc. Furthermore, since it features wide range, high sensitivitiy and accuracy, the instruments can be installed for commercial product supervision or geo-chemical analysis.

FEATURES of Mercury Monitor for Gas AM-4:

  • Ultra high sensitivity - wide measurement range; 0 to 1000ng, 0ng/m3 to 2mg/m3
  • Unmanned continuous operation
  • Easy to start - even to novice operators who will operate the AM-4 like skilled and experienced technician
  • Wide application
  • Low running cost - only purified air is used for all measuring procedure - neither the gas cylinders nor special gas are needed - need only electric power supply
