Kemppi has developed a range of welding machines capable of high versatility due to an innovative micro-processor controlled IGBT power source: the Master 2500 MLS (Multi-Logic System) MMA and the Mastertig 2000 MLS TIG.
Both welders were designed for use by professionals in the most demanding conditions. The machines produce ‘ripple free’ direct current for welding, and their self-contained construction, advanced design features and compact size make them suitable for outdoor use.
The compact size and low weight combined with good welding characteristics and reliability ensure that the machines are efficient both in production and installation/maintenance work.
The secret to the impressive welding characteristics of the Master MLS and Mastertig MLS welders lie in the efficient control provided by the microprocessor. The control panel offers a welder several alternatives from which to choose the one best suited to the requirements of the job at hand. In addition, panel functions can be changed and expanded by changing the basic settings.
Despite their small size and light weight, Master MLS and Mastertig MLS are suitable for a wide range of welding jobs. Their versatility not only leads to vastly improved productivity but also helps cut costs by reducing the need for additional machines and supplies.
The foundation to the machines’ performance is consistent and uninterrupted welding, but there are other features worth noting as well.
For example, if the supply voltage falls below a minimum limit or exceeds a maximum value, the safety cut-off is activated, protecting the machine against damage. And if there is no grid electricity available, the machines can be hooked up to a generator thanks to their wide voltage range.
A cooling fan operates only when necessary, decreasing the amount of particulate material entering the cooling system. In addition, an ICS (Isolated Cooling System) prevents dust and metal particles from penetrating the machine’s most sensitive areas.
Cooling air flows from the back of the machine forwards, towards the point being welded. This means that the particulate content of the air is lower than if the air flowed in the opposite direction.
A welding machine equipped with ICS collects less dirt than an ordinary welding machine, thereby increasing the useful life of the unit and decreasing both downtime and maintenance costs.
The machines comply with the relevant international safety standards (IEC 60974-1 and EN 50199).
