A forklift can become a handy tool for accessing stock and equipment that is out of reach if it is used with the right equipment. Nobles personnel cages are well designed, safe and robust.
Fork Lift Personnel Cages are designed for use during occasional tasks such as maintenance and inspection work. They must comply with the requirements of AS 2359.1. These requirements state that the forklift used must have a rated capacity of at least 5 times the combined mass of the cage and rated load. This means that for a common 2 tonne forklift the combined mass must be less than 400 kg. The standard specifies a minimum load rating of 250 kg so the tare must be a meagre 150 kg or less. This results in the requirement for a lightweight design.
Lightweight to suit 2 tonne forklifts Nobles have achieved a design that is light enough but more rigid and sturdy than some other common designs available. We have retained a door and a practical design that features a front handrail which aids in occupant safety whilst improving lateral strength and our cages achieve the highest standards of manufacture and general quality.
