NTP Forklifts Australia has recently passed a major milestone with the delivery of its 5000th TCM forklift to one of its major customers.

NTP Forklifts Australia has been operating since 1983 as a national provider of forklift sales, service, parts and rental throughout Australia. The partnership with TCM started in 1997 for NTP. After identifying Australia as a key growth market in the Asia Pacific region, TCM recognised two needs: national coverage and a local company that understood the local market and local needs. NTP fit the bill, and with the local knowledge, experience and vital after-sales service, NTP became the national distributor for TCM. “The NTP team has consistently sold more than just an excellent product… they’ve sold a solution and in doing so, have provided a level of customer service that translates into customer satisfaction and repeat business.” Mr. Narukawa, Manager for Oceania and Central America, stated in an interview in March ’05. The partnership ensures customers will receive better products and service both at the time of sale and for the life of the unit.

TCM is the pioneer in manufacturing some of the most innovative materials handling solutions in the 21st Century, offering the most expansive product range in the industry. Adding to TCM’s success is the constant ‘fine-tuning’ and improvement of the products on offer, ensuring reliability, easy maintenance and economical operation.

“We knew we were on a winner with TCM. As a leader in the Japanese materials handling market, that constantly refines its operations and products, the TCM product and name is becoming a household commodity within the industry” Says Nick Perdelis, Managing Director of NTP Forklifts Australia.

With the recently unveiled ‘iNOMA’ range of 1-3.5 tonne counterbalanced forklifts, NTP was able to secure the Electrolux national deal, ensuring the Australian company would cross the line for its 5000th unit sale.

“The contract was decided on the key features that NTP offered. Reliability, 24-hour 7-day service availability, and the product offered.” Stated Mr Chris Chilcott the National Logistics Manager of Electrolux Home Products Pty Ltd.

“Offering a solution, not just a product is paramount; this is what sets us apart from our competitors.” Mr. Perdelis says of NTP, “We also pride ourselves in offering second-to-none after-sales service and support.”
NTP placed 80 units into Electrolux last month, each with varying specifications to meet particular needs. The 5000th unit for NTP was a 1.8 Tonne Counter Balanced Gas unit with Integral Side Shift to suit their operations in South Australia.

The sale of NTP’s 5000th unit is a milestone for NTP, with over 1000 TCM units sold in 2006 alone; it is almost guaranteed they will top 10,000 before too long. “We attribute our success to both our staff and the product we represent. Without a good product, we wouldn’t be here and without the staff to promote and sell the product we wouldn’t have sold 5000.” Mr. Perdelis stated.
