An O-ring is defined by inside diameter (ID), the section diameter and material (compound).
Imperial O-rings are best described by the AS 568A and BS 1806 series. This combined series gives a complete range of the available sizes in the Imperial range. Imperial O-rings still remain more common than the Metric range.
The Metric range of O-rings is substantial. The common cross sections available are 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 5.0 and 6.0 mm. The availability of all the listed elastomer compounds is not extensive. Please do not hesitate to call TULIP to discuss availability.
