We are pleased to offer auditing of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) within our portfolio. (RABQSA certification pending) A well implemented effective OHSMS should primarily result in a reduction of workplace illness and injury, leading to a reduction in the costs associated withworkplace accidents. The OHSMS may also assist an organisation with issues affecting legal necessities, ethical matters, industrial relations concerns and improving profitability.
An effective OHSMS provides a systematic process to enable an organisation to control the risks to all persons who may be affected by that organisation's products, services or activities. AS/NZS 4804:2001 provides general guidance for an organisation on how to develop, implement or improve an OHSMS. There is a second linked standard, AS/NZS 4801:2001, which provides auditable criteria for an OHSMS.
This is the standard which we will use to enable us to conduct an audit of your OHSMS and compile a comprehensive report which outlines areas of compliance and non-compliance, giving you a clear picture of where your organisation's OHSMS is positioned and which areas may require additional attention.
