“Peacock Bros. unveils the latest RFID Smart label RFID printer/encoder”
September 2004. Peacock Bros. Australia has announced the release of the R110XilllPlus RFID smart label printer/encoder, a unit that combines smart label encoding and verification with thermal and thermal-transfer printing in one seamless operation. The printer/encoder is future proof compliant with Class 0, 0+, 1 and Class 2 RFID EPC/EAN specification standards that are emerging for use by the end of this year.
The R110XilllPlus encodes product and/or pallet information on very thin UHF transponders embedded in pressure-sensitive smart labels (RFID Tags), while simultaneously verifying that the encoding is 100% accurate. Once the verification process has been completed and passed, the barcodes are printed over the top of the tagged label ready to use, producing fully programmed, on-demand RFID tagged barcode labels.
Printing in both Thermal and Thermal Transfer modes the unit prints text, barcodes and/or graphics on the surface of labels at a resolution of 203dpi on labels up to 114mm wide and 991mm long at speeds up to 254mm per second. The printer/encoder is built with heavy-gauge steel to ensure operational dependability in industrial environments.
The R110XilllPlus as standard is packed with features such as:
