Installation of Permeable Pipes - HydroCon Pipes:
HydroCon pipes are laid with zero gradient. HydroCon can supply a special device to assist with pipe laying. Geotextile jointing strips are supplied with pipes. Laying instructions are available on request.
Maintenance of Permeable Pipes - HydroCon Pipes:
HydroCon pipes require little maintenance if properly installed and sediment is removed as necessary from pollution control pits. If sediment collects on the sealed base of the pipes, it can be removed by high pressure hosing from flushing points.
Pollutant removal by Permeable Pipes - HydroCon Pipes:
Removal efficiencies greater than 90 % can be achieved for most constituents. Removal of nitrogen depends on the length of time that water is resident in the pipes and surrounding media before discharge.
