The "OdaLog 6000" multigas unit is the only portable, intrinsically safe, multiple gas monitor designed and made in Australia.
The OdaLog 6000 monitors up to 6 gases covering most popular gas measuring combinations.
It is expected that the instrument will primarily be used with the Oxygen, Methane (or other flammables), Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen Sulphide configuration to which can be added up to two additional toxic gases such as Nitrogen Oxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, Chlorine, Sulphur Dioxide, Hydrogen Cyanide, Ammonia, or other combinations.
The instrument’s flammable sensor can be configured to display
% Methane for underground coal mining applications or
% LEL for Confined Space Entry applications.
A cylindrical shape was selected for reasons of the superior sealing that can be achieved with o-rings and the ease with which a cylindrical device is handled by the human hand. Double o-ring seals ensure dust and moisture is kept where it belongs - outside the instrument electronics.
Very distinct audible and visual alarms, huge datalogging capacity, and the capability to be used as an area monitor further sets this unit apart from competitive products.
The "OdaLog" cylindrical shape has been well accepted in the wastewater industry worldwide and it is believed that the hand-friendly beer can sized shape, coupled with extreme robustness and superb sealing properties will make the "OdaLog 6000" a favourite in the multigas portable market for entering confined spaces and protecting workers in underground mines.

App-Tek Safety | Test & Measurement Equipment
App-Tek was founded in 1992 to source air monitoring equipment from around the World and to concentrate on supplying that equipment for Occupational Health and Safety applications within Australia.
The company built up a comprehensive product portfolio of monitoring equipment which included sound level meters, noise dosimeters, heat stress monitors, dust samplers, and specialised air samplers to detect vapours and hazardous gases.
In 1993 the business moved to premises at Brendale in Pine Rivers Shire, Queensland, Australia and App-Tek then began to promote its imported product range into new areas.
In particular, App-Tek successfully introduced the Neotronics MiniGas portable gas detector to the Australian underground coal mining industry and by the late 1990's had developed this product to the extent that it had become the most used and best
supported portable gas monitor in this industry.
With the employment of key technical staff in the mid to late 1990's, the new skills they brought allowed the company to address a niche market opportunity to design an electronic measuring instrument for odor control in the wastewater industry.
Ensuing research and product development culminated in the January 2000 launch of an innovative environmental product, the OdaLog H2S Gas Logger, and by this stage the business had grown to employ 15 people.
Following market acceptance in Australia, international marketing activities commenced and, as at June 2003, distributors had been appointed in twenty one countries with excellent acceptance of the OdaLog brand occurring in Europe and North America.
