Well proven 12HP (555cc) Ruggerini diesel engine. Latest technology from the world’s leading diesel engine manufacturer. Ease of maintenance and worldwide serviceability make this engine the ideal choice for diesel portable pumps.
Fast and effective priming is provided by the simple to operate exhaust eject primer. Primes 3 metres in 30 seconds and to a minimum of 6 metres.
Integrated fuel tank with large capacity of 5 litres ensures the fuel supply will last for at least 1½ hours at maximum throttle opening and load.
Engine is air cooled via forced air circulation from a flywheel-mounted fan for reliable operation in all climatic conditions.
Electric starting is optional with a 12 Volt negative earth system. A sealed regulator and internal 16 Amp alternator provides reliable power to charge the battery and provide up to 16 Amp of additional power for accessories. A robust hand start allows the engine to be started in the event of low battery power. An ancillary socket is provided for charging of the battery externally and to supply power for additional lighting etc.
Stainless steel is used on all fabricated parts. All pump body castings are in corrosion resistant light alloy with an option of an impeller cast in bronze for marine protection.
The pump is constructed in corrosion resistant light alloy and is connected directly to the engine. The impeller is constructed from light alloy with the option of bronze and is directly driven from the engine crankshaft. A suction filter is fitted for hydrant operation. The suction inlet is standard 100mm (4”). Delivery outlets are operated by ¼ turn chrome plated bronze ball valves.
All engines are bench run and tuned before delivery. The finished pumps are subjected to flow and priming tests before leaving our factory
