The application process
The wood substrate is preconditioned by heating prior to application, temperature and duration will vary due to the size and thickness of the composite to coat. Heating with infra red, convection or a combination of both is then used to melt and cure the powders. Please note careful selection of the engineered wood product is required as not all board available is capable of being powder coated.
Interpon Woodcote powder coatings are available in a variety of trend colours to suit the unique needs of architects and designers, ensuring complete Color Freedom. The superior coating finish of Woodcote coatings is available in fine texture and smooth matt and satin.
Typical applications include office furniture, desks and panels, decorative interior cladding, shelving and premium furniture. Interpon Woodcote offers an economical, low environmental impact alternative to organic coatings, paper foils and vinyl laminates currently used for finishing MDF.
