Our project management will help you to have the correct information and that your design meets your power quality and supply needs both now and in the future. Our engineering advice ensures that issues such as power factor, harmonic content, discrimination, redundancy and capacity for future expansion is included in the final installation.

Remote Monitoring

Direct telemonitoring allows immediate notification of a change in your equipment status by automatically dialling our Thycon Service Computer and alerting our service personnel. In addition, regular interrogation and trend analysis allows fast identification of potential problems. This secure, non-intrusive approach provides close feedback on the state of your system.


Thycon equipment is upgradable to provide improved performance, capacity and functionality. Parallel redundant configurations can be implemented to enhance existing stand alone systems.

Additional modifications and equipment can be installed to provide power factor correction and improved harmonic performance. Modifications can also be made to increase or decrease the capacity of an existing UPS to meet forecast UPS load demands.

Thycon manages the pro-active replacement of all parts within its units as they reach the end of their design life or as advances in technology render older parts obsolete. By skillfully engineering our products, Thycon ensures the latest advances in electronic design are available for installation into your units. This ensures maximum reliability and performance. Software updates are also regularly released.

Regardless of the age of your exisitng Thycon equipment, we can upgrade your unit up to the current technology.

Periodically all UPS battery banks must be replaced. This requires careful consideration to ensure the appropriate battery is selected and that safe environmental controls are maintained over the disposal of the old batteries. Thycon are experienced at battery replacement and will recommend the most suitable battery for your application.

Remedial Services

Remedial service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Thycon engineers are posted Australia wide to ensure prompt service and have priority access to stocks of genuine replacement parts for all clients covered under a service agreement.

Maintenance Contracts

The most effective method of retaining product reliability is through regular preventive maintenance. To this end Thycon has a number of maintenance products to assist you. These are:

Technical Support Agreement

The Thycon Technical Support Line offers 24 hour client telephone support and ensures your right to access to our service personnel for an annual fixed fee. This service is free to customers covered by warranty or a maintenance agreement.

Basic Maintenance Agreement

This agreement incorporates telephone support and provides a number of preventive maintenance visits each year, with a report detailing any recommendations at the conclusion of each visit.

Standard Maintenance Agreement

An extension of the Basic Programme, it covers you for all labour required in the event of a remedial service.

Comprehensive Maintenance Agreement

Our full maintenance programme includes Standard Maintenance cover, software updates, parts (excluding batteries), consulting services and training of site technical staff.

Extended Warranty

Extended parts & labour warranty cover can be provided on most new or refurbished equipment.
