The Certified Product Recall Coordinator Program has been developed through RABQSA to provide formal recognition for people that have the experience and qualifications, as well as demonstrating the knowledge and skills, to effectively coordinate a product recall.
RQA Product Risk Institute delivers training courses that not only develop the skills and competencies needed to effectively prevent and manage recall but will also prepare staff for certification as an “International Product Recall Coordinator” (RABQSA – IPRC).
In order to meet the requirements for IPRC certification, applicants must develop and be able to demonstrate the following key competencies:
Understand the principles of product recall programs
Understand the industry and regulatory environment
Develop an effective recall plan for their organisation
Understand staff roles and responsibilities in a product recall
Establish incident monitoring and reporting systems
Investigate incidents and conduct a hazard analysis
Facilitate risk management and decision-making processes
Develop a recall strategy and action plan
Implement a product recall
Continuously improve systems and processes for preventing and managing recalls
RQA’s Certified Recall Coordinator program is a four unit course designed to provide the knowledge and skills to prepare for IRPC certification. The four units are:
