These models include measurement at 5 microns for Glass applications and 7.9 microns for transparent plastics. The base model is 8-14 microns measuring ranges between -40 and 600C. The unit is programmed either through its RS485 interface, or using push buttons and the integral display.
Many variations exist in order to optimise the installation - housings can be SS or aluminium, connections by terminal strip, or cable with connector, and the water/air cooled housing is separate and slips over the main sensor body. Accessories such as this and the air purge collar are available in SS or aluminium.
Laser sighting and high resolution optics at 50:1 are options on the low temperature versions.
The XR RS485 output is compatible with the Raytek Multidrop PC Software, for up to 32 sensors. These may be mixed types, including Marathon, MM Series, and MID series [with RS485]. The software gives access to all configuration parameters, and adds datalogging and data analysis functionality, as well as giving displays in real time of individual sensors or groups of sensors.
The XR and the MID series share a common operating system, but the XR extends the choice of optics to include long range and close focus for small targets, a choice of some common measuring wavelengths and extended temperature ranges - to 1200C for most materials and 1650C for glass or other measurements at 5 microns.
ECEFast has NATA accreditation for calibration of Infra red thermometers up to 1200C.
