Heavy earthmoving equipment, such as Caterpillar, Yanmar and Komatsu machines, are built tough to handle the conditions on various job sites.
However, these expensive pieces of machinery are prone to breakdowns and vandal attacks from time to time. When this happens, the end result is downtime, which in turn can mean delays in the completion and turnover of a project. Fortunately, there is a preventative measure that can be used to stop this problem, allowing site managers to ensure smooth operations and prompt completion of tasks - vandal guards.
A vandal guard, also known as vandal cover, is installed onto the cab of earth moving equipment and is particularly helpful during mining and industrial demolition projects where debris may be hurled into the air. Vandal guards are made with a variety of materials including aluminium, punched, welded or woven mesh, flat bars, solid steel and solid plastic. They can be installed through a variety of methods including the use of buttons, hinges, padlockable over-centre catches and brackets.
Vandal guards are usually made either from metal mesh or solid metal. Mesh vandal guards allow for more visual control whilst maintaining protection for machine operators while solid steel or aluminium covers ensure maximum protection.
We design and manufacture machine security covers and kits for a large range of brands including: Caterpillar, Yanmar, Komatsu, Mitsubishi, Kubota, Case, Bobcat, JCB and Daewood. Safety is a priority with our designs, allowing operators to quickly and safely enter or exit theirs machines without hinderance. Also, our covers can be fitted to Roll Over Protection Structure Cabs (ROPS).
We specialise in supplying vandal guard kits for Caterpillar machinery. We stock kits and can ship them across Australia with full installation instructions and photos with 24 hours.
We can custom design vandal covers to meet your machines's requirements with solid guards, mesh guards or a combination of both.
