Sensors are exposed to adverse conditions in numerous applications. In the past, the sensor sensitive electronics could only be used at temperatures of up to 50 °C at a maximum. With the new protective housing SGHF-HT from Bestech Australia, the sensors can now be used at ambient temperatures of up to 200 °C. The laser triangulation sensors are mounted to a water cooling plate and operated in the housing within the acceptable temperature range. Furthermore, the housing offers the possibility to connect a compressed air nozzle, thus, the housing's protective glass can be kept free from foreign objects.
The SGHF-HT is especially used in the metalworking industry and other fields where high ambient temperatures prevail.
