With a strong emphasis on the utilisation of in-situ materials and locally available clays and gravels, SEALS has the experience and the solutions to deliver sustainable alternatives for the construction and maintenance of road infrastructure projects.
SEALS Brisbane works closely with local councils and shires, mine site and gas field operators, and other road makers to transform their road maintenance problems into a more efficient and cost-effective solution.
SEALS Group is the sole distributor for the following products in Queensland:
PolyCom Stabilising Aid
PolyCom is an innovative road stabilisation product that enables road makers to build high integrity pavements from almost any naturally occurring material.
A highly effective polymer blend manufactured in Australia, just 2 kilograms of PolyCom transforms 100 tonnes of road material into a stronger, longer lasting pavement.
Results indicate that PolyCom treated roads last up to six times longer than unsealed roads, resulting in significant financial savings due to reduced road maintenance, water usage and plant maintenance.
In one particular study on an unsealed road, one section of the road was treated with PolyCom and the other was not. Over time, on the PolyCom treated road the findings were as follows:
- Close to 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions
- 80% reduction in water usage
- 70% annual financial savings on the maintenance of the road
These results have been published on the IPWEA website.
