With Quest Roadwork, you can quickly generate cut and fill quantities from road and highway plans drawn in profile view.
Roadwork's profile-view quantity takeoff is both simple and powerful. Digitize your existing and proposed profiles by tracing over your plans, using the stylus pen and digitizer board.
Add count items like manholes, fire hydrants, culverts, or even bore logs. Use the section view to get cut and fill numbers for any chainage on the job. And of course, Roadwork's takeoff supports multiple sheets.
The Range screen is where you can apply road templates to the different segments (ranges) of your road.
set the starting and ending chainages for each range and apply the appropriate template. Set all the specifications, including disturbed width, surface type, grading slope, shoulders or curbs, pavement width, thickness and slope. And of course, you can always customise your templates, or create new ones from scratch.
The Quantity screen gives you area, volume, and mass summaries for your cut and fill quantities, split up by range and chainage interval.
You can always adjust the swell and yield factors as needed for different material types. And when you're done, you can export the data to Estimator.
The Summary screen provides more detailed information than the Quantity screen, including cut and fill totals for each sheet and for the entire job, excavation, backfill and import volumes for the entire job, excavation volumes for each cut depth, and swell and yield factors.
And just like the Quantity screen, all this information can be quickly and easily exported to Estimator.
The Graph screen offers three different ways to view your totals-in terms of area, volume, or mass. Data is provided for each chainage you include.
