RF data collection systems use Radio Frequency waves that are part of the electromagnetic spectrum to communicate data between two or more points. Electrical data is captured by a transmitter from a barcode, converted into RF waves.
This data is transmitted to a receiver that converts it back to electrical data that can be understood by other hardware such as a computer.
RF technology has revolutionized information management data collection methods because of its inherent benefits— it allows for information to be transmitted instantly, in real time, without the use of hardwires and cables. It is particularly ideal for data collection over wide areas or where physical distances prohibit hard-wired systems.
Our highly qualified team brings to you the experience of designing and implementing RF based data collection systems.
Comware | Barcode, Automatic Identification, Mobile Computing
Comware is the leading systems integrator for barcode based data collection in South Australia.
We have over 12 years experience in this specialised area and have alliances with some of the largest hardware & software companies in this field in Australia.
Comware was formed in Adelaide in 1988 as a specialist software sales organisation.
The HARDCAT Asset Management software package was the initial product which helped to create a solid foundation of clients.
The software range was expanded to include a File / Item Tracking Database.
Both packages made use of barcoding to uniquely identify and track item movement.
Other data collection products were introduced to our range during 1990-91 when we were appointed SA distributors for Datalogic Pty Ltd, as the need to offer "total solutions" in a number of vertical markets became more apparent.
During 1991-92 our focus broadened to cover Automatic Identification Systems, which has emerged as one of the fastest growing sectors in the Information Technology marketplace.
Our emphasis has been on developing close relationships with major suppliers so that we have access to their wide range of products and services, experience and resources.
Comware was appointed S.A. distributor of Norand Radio Frequency Systems in 1993 to further expand the range of solutions for barcode driven systems and we have installed and are supporting a number of sites throughout Adelaide. Norand was aquired in 1997 to become part of Intermec Technologies who we now also represent.
Comware Pty Ltd was incorporated in 1996 to provide a business structure that would be better suited to continued growth.
