Supplier: Omniflex
04 February, 2014

Omniflex Australia Data2Desktop, D2D, remote monitoring system continues to deliver valuable water flow data direct to Leeton Shire managements desktop.

The key performance data is directly sourced from the ABB flow meters without the need for conventional analog or meter pulse signal interface. The flow memory data from inside the flow meter, proven by site calibration, is direct sourced and reported to a secure web site Data2desktop.

The reservoir import and export data is used to analyse and report flow usage as well as determining possible leaks. Reports on a daily basis are emailed directly to the multi-user system. The Data2Desktop system also allows for long-term data storage for up to 2 years which can be downloaded for further analysis.

This system was selected to provide quick and cost effective method of monitoring water flow without the need to install extensions to the SCADA system.

Reliability is maintained as the system reports the diagnostic data from the flow meters as well as site RTU temperatures, power condition, and GSM strength. SMS alarms are also reported to the support group for operational problems. Should the local network experience problems the data is stored and forwarded to the cloud server without any losses.

Omniflex Australia is a global company providing Web Remote Monitoring, SMS Alarm, Telemetry and Control solutions.
