Waste to Energy
Green power co-generation plant
It is with pride we announce that Benedict Recycling has just been granted approval to build a 5.5 megawatt co generation plant at our chipping norton facility which, once commissioned, will create enough “Green Power” to power the facility as well as export several megawatts of Green Power to the local grid network, reducing our community’s dependence on coal-fired power plants and thus reducing the carbon emissions to our environment.
This entire facility will not only be self powered but has its own 110,000 L water tank that captures rainwater falling on our roof for reuse.
We also have a water bore on site which we will connect to our own small desalination plant, purifying the bore water to drinking water standards.
When fully installed this DECC licensed facility will be totally self sufficient with water and electricity, all powered by waste! This is surely the way of the future.
