rml p710 Cartoner
rml have released their p710 Horizontal Cartoner designed for side loading confectionery bar products into a range of carton sizes.
The rml p710 Cartoner was designed to provide a flexible and quickly adjustable Cartoner, capable of handling a range of product such as confectionery bars into configurations of up to sixteen bars per carton, and the ability to pack up to four multilayers.
The machine receives product into flighted carriages on servo belts. Product is counted into each pocket, and indexed transversely to create columns of product. When the carriage is full, it indexes forward to a loading station, and a second carriage indexes into position. Cartons are plucked from an inclined magazine, formed and loaded simultaneously onto a pitch adjustable indexing drive chain conveyor, and are then presented to the loading station. A “packless” function prevents carton blanks being drawn should there be no product in the infeed conveyor.
Product is automatically loaded into the erected cartons using a pneumatic pusher arm.Once loaded, the carton flaps are automatically folded shut and glued closed using the fitted hot melt glue system.
The machine cycle rate of over 35 cartons per minute will satisfy a wide range of product, production rate and packing formats.
Available in both manual, or an automatic product infeed version the p710 Horizontal Cartoner has been successfully launched and expands on the successful p series of automation packing solutions from rml.
