The Rocla M-Lock® Bridge System was developed by Rocla for use on urban and rural roads and is comprised entirely of precast, reinforced concrete components.

The system is based on a product produced by Choctaw Inc. in the USA over 50 years ago. It has been re-engineered to comply with Australian standards.

The systems caters for both single or multi-span bridges with individual plank lengths ranging between 7 and 12 metres. The major features of the system are speed of construction and durability.

All components in the Rocla M-Lock® Bridge System are engineered to comply with the Australian Bridge Design Code, as well as relevant standards and design loadings, including T44, HLP 320 and SM 1600.

The major benefits of the Rocla M-Lock® Bridge System is the simple construction and reduced construction time. It is possible that with a small crew of 2 to 3 people a M-Lock® Bridge can be constructed at a rate of 1 span per week. Also the construction can proceed by reaching out from the previously constructed span if necessary, providing minimal impact on the surrounding environment.
