Since its establishment in 1856, Phoenix has been manufacturing coated fabrics which are now used worldwide in both the technical and automotive industries. The wide range of fabrics available includes those for hazard protection suits, life rafts, civil and defence applications, lifejackets and medical uses. All standard fabrics, such as cotton, polyester, or polyamide are coated with many types of rubber including NR, CSM and IIR. For protective materials, synthetic fabrics and rubber types, in conjunction with foils, are used exclusively.
