Bestech Australia presents the new rugged IP69K laser displacement sensor, from German manufacturer Micro-Epsilon. The optoNCDT 1402SC is a laser triangulation sensor with stainless steel housing for superior protection from harsh environments.
Due to its robust design, the sensor is suitable for the food industry, outdoor use or for demanding process manufacturing applications. The V4A steel housing complies with food industry requirements. This laser displacement sensor is resistant to high pressure jet washing and to aggressive cleaning detergents and disinfection agents, including hydrogen peroxide and other alkaline-based cleaning materials as well as cleaning materials that contain chlorine.
This laser sensor is available in measuring ranges between 5mm and 600mm, with linearity of 0.18% FSO. The compact design has an integrated controller and analogue as well as digital outputs. Other features include an adjustable measuring rate of up to 1.5kHz and high flex cables for dragchain or robot use. The sensor can be configured using the free Micro-Epsilon software.
