Seal System Link -Seal
The Link-Seal System is the Solution
When you use Link-Seal® Modular Seals in combination with Century-Line® Sleeves, Cell-Cast® Disks or WS Steel Sleeves - you are creating the optimal situation, with engineered products designed to be used together, for quickly and easily creating a permanent seal between a cylindrical object and the barrier through which it passes.
Link-Seal® Modular Seals, Model "S-316" (EPDM).
The Model "S-316" is suitable for use in water, direct ground burial and atmospheric conditions. It also provides electrical isolation where cathodic protection is required.
Because it uses stainless steel hardware it is excellent for applications such as chemical processing and waste water treatment.
EPDM rubber is resistant to most inorganic acids and alkalis, some organic chemicals (acetone, alcohol, ketones). It can be used in a cored or formed hole or in conjunction with Century Sleeves, Cell-Cast Disks or WS Steel sleeves.
Link-Seal® Modular Seals, Model "O-S316" (Nitrile)
The Model "O" is resistant to oils, fuel and many solvents (gasoline, motor oil, kerosene, methane, jet fuel, hydraulic fluid, water, etc.). While resistant to normal atmospheric conditions, Nitrile is not U.V. resistant so should not be left exposed.
The O-S316 model uses Stainless steel hardware which makes it suitable for highly corrosive environments. It can be used in a cored or formed hole or in conjunction with Century Sleeves, Cell-Cast Disks or WS Steel sleeves.
Link-Seal® Modular Seals, Model "T" (Silicone) installed with a Model WS Steel Sleeve
The Model "T" is ideal for temperature extremes from -67?F. (-55?C.) to 400?F. (204?C.). In addition, the Model "T" is one-hour FM (Factory Mutual) approved. High temperature seals should be used with Model WS steel sleeves.
Link-Seal® Modular Seals, Model "L" (Low Durometer EPDM) installed with a Century-Line® Sleeve
The Low Durometer Model "L" is excellent for use with thin wall metal pipe, applications using plastic, ceramic or glass pipe - or applications where the cylindrical object is fragile and may not withstand the compressing forces generated by a standard Link-Seal® Modular Seal.
